Dearest ButterflyMoms,

At yesterday’s ButterflyMoms workshop I had a simple epiphany, almost unnoticeable at first, but once I brought my attention to it, I realized the PURE JOY that the cool, clean glass of water by my bedside brings me every night.

“WHAT!? WATER? Is that what I just wrote? How can water make you happy?” For those of you who are mentally traveling at breakneck speeds, trying to fit your never-ending TO-DO LIST, this may not seem like anything even slightly important. “So what you have water by your bed. Big deal.”

Having water by my bedside gives me wonderful feelings that I have not even ever really noticed because for most of my life my brain has been RACING (against whom I have ZERO idea…although now that I’ve put it out there, it’s probably racing against myself which is probably why I was NEVER really the winner and could never stop racing. That is probably a GREAT definition of living in the RAT RACE).

The more I have called my energy back, the more I have started living in the NOW, the more of these simple AHA’s I’m having/noticing. To wake up in the middle of the night feeling parched and being able to simply reach out and find the wonderfully cool glass there waiting for me…..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! IT FEELS SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!

It is a simple a ritual that without even asking my parents, I know at least three generations before me have done. I did not even think about it but it’s something I picked up from them. It makes me feel VERY HAPPY to realize this. It feels like yet another connection point with them.

I find it fascinating that I have been doing this all my life not realizing that this simple “before I go to bed” ritual was grounding and connecting me. It also brings in deep GRATITUDE for I know that in many parts of the world this LUXURY is not a possibility.

Part of what is sooooo wonderful about doing this work, is that you get to uncover so many magical moments like this one. I am at this point where now when I think about bedtime, part of my “RITUAL” is going to get a glass of water and even just thinking about it brings me GREAT JOY! What simple things are you doing in your life that bring you joy?

Dearest ButterflyMoms,

Being a mother can be a wonderful thing and yet there are aspects of it I have struggled with though. One of them is, to be quite honest is something most don’t really bring up, FRIENDS. Many women end up becoming friends with the moms of the kids in their mommy group. Some of these groups, for some reason, develop a lot of toxicity in the sense that we are suddenly transported back to middle school. What forms is basically a clique with its own hierarchical system. There are the leaders and the followers. “In” members and “out” members.

A client called me yesterday completely distraught because of how she was being treated by her group, women she had known for years and years. Major life lesson here. Life gives you EXACTLY what you need. Whether it’s a mommy group or a job, when it’s “time” for you to move on from a group you will be “released” one way or another. Energetically it’s the same thing that happens when a baby is being ready to be born. A million different little things work together to “release” the baby at just the right time, no matter how comfort-cozy it is in the womb. When it no longer serves you to be with that group you are also released…even if you go kicking and screaming.

So let’s say you are part of one of these groups, it could really be any group, and when you leave (whether you get kicked out or do it out of your own accord), there may be some very ICKY feelings floating up. WHAT IF…you took those feelings as a gift? WHAT IF… you paid attention to how much of your precious energy you were mindlessly using up to lament this occurrence?

If someone call you a “giraffe” you think…”wow that person has their own stuff going on.” Right? Even if you were in public you would still be fine because it’s obvious you are not a giraffe…DUH!

Well what happens is someone calls you a ____________________ (asshole, jerk, pig, bad mother, cow…). Then how do you feel? DEEP BREATH HERE. And how would you feel if it were in public? Hmmmmmm? If you are TRIGGERED by a word that means that at least a part of you FEARS it is true. ANOTHER DEEP BREATH HERE.

At this point also notice if you are JUST READING this and your mind is PREVENTING YOU FROM ACTUALLY FEELING THE EXERCISE ABOVE. Noticing this is important because if it’s happening here, with something so simple and “safe”, it’s most likely happening ALL OVER YOUR LIFE.

You have two choices right now as you read (and feel) this…The first CHOICE you have is to FIGHT/FLIGHT against this ICKINESS. This can come in the form of either ATTACKING the other person or DISMISSING/COCOONING/RUNNING AWAY from the experience. Most of us have unconsciously chosen this choice all our lives as an AUTOMATIC RESPONSE but now we are being taught something that uses our ENERGY in a much more efficient way…which brings us to the third CHOICE.

Choice two is to simply NOTICE how you are feeling but what was said. Let’s say the word that most triggered you was COW, notice how you feel when someone says that word around you. Whatever gets triggered is what needs to come out and be released from your believe system for it is a hidden fear that no longer serves you. If it brings up issues of your being over-weight than play with that for a while. Notice if that is something that you believe is true. If it is, do you want to do something about it? If you do, fine. If you don’t fine. It is your life. It is your body. It is your energy to use as you so wish.

Now back to the expulsion from your group…fears will certainly come up, which gives you the WONDERFUL opportunity to check in with yourself and see what FEAR is ready to be released. Our bodies belong to this planet. When we are born we come with soooo many wonderful gifts that most of us have never been taught how to use. Imagine getting a brand new top-of-the-line music system and never even taking it out of the box. How you use your energy and how you TRANSLATE what is happening in your life, determines how much juiciness/aliveness/joy your life has. There are many ways to do this, one simple way is to read this blog every Friday to feed your soul. PEACE TO YOU!

My beautiful friend Joscelyn who died a few years back. She taught me to listen to my soul by how she lived her life. I feel her around me all the time!

Beautiful ButterflyMoms!

Sometimes I wish I could learn things faster so that I would not hit so many bumps. What I am learning is that in life’s journey, as you begin uncovering and letting go of your EGO (and things that no longer serve you), you start to FEEL. Sometimes those feelings can be overwhelming. During these times make sure you get plenty of sleep, plenty of water and eat the best you know how to eat. As you shift, your body will also need your help shifting. Be kind. Journal. Notice. Feel…ahhhhh that’s the word we sometimes try to avoid…FEELING. We feel the ICKIES so we numb out/avoid with _________________(fill in the blank with food, drugs, sugar, television, gossiping, shopping, cheating….you get the idea, right?) We have all been there. The POWER comes from admitting it!

Why do so many of our children today, why do they CUT themselves just to feel. When I was a kid, I don’t remember hearing a lot of that kind of behavior, certainly not like today. Last night’s ButterflyMoms workshop was incredibly powerful! We did several exercises where participants could see how putting yourself last can have a very detrimental affect on one’s self. I gave the analogy of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Imagine that your life is like her stunning wedding dress, but that over time you keep wringing it out more and more as you sacrifice who you are as you almost exclusively give to other people. Over time the dress becomes more like the lace curtains you see in the abandoned houses with the broken windows.

We act like if we just stay OUT OF OUR BODIES our lives will magically transform. What they will ACTUALLY do is they will SYSTEMATICALLY FADE AWAY. The world is full of examples of people who followed what they were told and shut themselves off. They let the voices of those outside of themselves be more powerful than their inner voice. For those of you who are FEELING A CONFLICT INSIDE YOURSELF REJOICE! Rejoice that you are still FEELING! Be THANKFUL that you are still getting FEEDBACK from your TRUE/AUTHENTIC SELF letting you know that you are still in there!

In your own life, look at how others before you, both men and women did what they were told and completely neglected their inner voice, their inner light. The best-selling author Dr. Wayne Dyer talks about how cemeteries are filled with people WITH THEIR MUSIC STILL IN THEM!

Where is your “music”? Think of the little girl (or boy) inside of you. RIGHT NOW…How do you treat her (or him)? REALLY PAY ATTENTION HERE. What kind of time do you make for you inner child? What kindness, space, attention, love, do you show? How do you feel about your inner child? NOTICE! Last night at the 20^th ButterflyMoms workshop (YAY 20^th!!!!) We played with a little exercise where the women who attended were given an assignment…Let’s say you have three kids. You would usually not completely ignore one of those kids and give everything you had to the other two, well since most of the women in our group do have two kids I asked them to try this exercise: Add one more kid to your list of children, add YOUR LITTLE SELF as one of your children. Make time for her as you do your other children. Time to dress, time to teach, time to listen to, time to hear, time to acknowledge. Just like you would not leave one of your own kids behind learn to not leave YOUR SELF behind, otherwise the lace curtains that hang from those sad, abandoned houses will become an analogy for where your life is heading. (DEEP BREATH) ! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! YES! ! Write me with questions or comments if you need help removing this block from your life.

EFFORTING. TO EFFORT. In most of our cultures VALUE is placed on HOW MUCH EFFORT you put into something. My background is that I’m TRAINED in both the CORPORATE and ENTREPRENEURIAL worlds. I have my MBA. I got it because I wanted to know what “they” know. It was a combination of being curious, wanting to make more money and wanting to feel safe. My area of expertise is MARKETING and more specifically PUBLIC RELATIONS. I’ve done work with some of the world’s most incredible people like author and humanitarian Jane Goodall, former president of the USSR Mikael Gorbachev and companies like Yahoo!, Sun Microsystems, Procter & Gamble, Continental Airlines and Reebok. I’ve even done work for the governments of Portugal and Japan. I have been doing this work for decades and I am very good at it.

So when I looked at my DREAM goal for getting on The Oprah Show, I took the same model as I do when I do PR. What are my objectives? What are my resources? Mind map it, set the list of tasks and off I would go. Well, what I found on that journey was THE MORE I EFFORTED the LESS PROGRESS I made. This really stumped me. This is the way that I’ve always done it, by mostly EFFORTING. At one point I was even going to WALK to Chicago…some of you who have read the blog for a while might remember that. It was a very foolish thing given that I had very small kids at home, no money, was not trained, had no equipment, etc, etc, etc…but as a Marcus Cherry’s mom used to say, “ A hard head makes a soft ass.” I was ignorance on fire. I did not trust the universe was going to give me my dream so I was going to circumvent the system! OH YA BABY! I THOUGHT I had it all worked out! Luckily for me the producers got wind of it and categorically told me that Oprah does not like stunts like that and if I did it I would never get on. I was disappointed but also a bit relieved. Can you imagine me walking 1,000 in the dead of winter?! I don’t know that they would have ever found my body! 

HOW I finally got on The Oprah Show is what I teach in Thursday night ButterflyMoms workshops that you keep seeing everywhere. This upcoming Thursday will be the 20^th week anniversary! YAY! That is 20 weeks of helping people stop their EFFORTING. Twenty weeks of learning how to MANIFEST the life you want! It feels soooo good! It is me accomplishing my life’s goal of BEING THE FIRE THAT IGNITES PEOPLE’S SOUL!

This whole ButterflyMoms journey is one of the most delightful adventures of my life! The gift of being able to connect with others in SUCH a meaningful and profound manner is ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! Each step of the way I have had to find the COURAGE to drop my ARMOR (ego, ways I used to do things, expectations, shoulds) at the entrance of each new chapter of the journey. As soon as I quiet down enough I can literally hear the next “request”, or maybe the word “suggestion” would be better because I do get to choose whether I do it or not. Sometimes I wish it were more automatic because FEAR can be such a powerful deterrent to FLYING (CONNECTING TO YOUR HEART) in this lifetime! ! How many adventures have you missed in your lifetime because you took the hand of FEAR instead of that of your INTUITION? Hmmmmmm? NO JUDGING HERE! JUST OBSERVE. TAKE A VERY DEEP LUSCIOUS BREATH AND OBSERVE!!!! BE KIND TO YOURSELF AND THE ANSWER WILL FALL OUT OF YOU. !

In doing my first ever ButterflyMoms retreat I have hit upon the same issue that happened with The Oprah Show, my computer is acting up. Good Morning Beautiful ButterflyMoms!

If you grew up “AMERICAN” you most likely have been taught that LIFE IS HARD, that to get what you want you have to WORK HARD. You have to FIGHT. Because of this model, if things come to us too easily we question it. We literally say to ourselves, “that was too easy…what’s wrong with it OR what’s the catch?”

While dating, if a man treated you super well and things just flowed, many of us saw that as BORING! Instead, for many, especially when we were younger, it was the BAD BOY, the guy who brought you the most EFFORTING that we gravitated to…because in our culture we were taught to add more value to the things you FIGHT FOR. I think we can all agree that the fantasy about CHANGING your mate has brought boatloads of heartache. “I must be doing something wrong.” “What’s wrong with me?” is what we say to ourselves…and then the ICKY cycle of self-loathing begins to grow…

TAKE A DEEP, LUSCIOUS BREATH RIGHT NOW…..Mmmmmmmmm. Recently, I had a choice to make in my life. There were two choices and I NOTICED that one was clearly the choice that had the best alignment for me and my family. It was completely effortless. The other choice was completely blocked and was about efforting. I found myself being drawn to the EFFORTING side because I unconsciously felt it had more value. I saw, in one way, how ridiculous that was but it felt like I was in a tractor beam like the one that pulled the Millenium Falcon. WOW! It was only slowly and with the help of talking it out with people I trust, that I started realizing what I was doing and to pull away from that choice. It was a very eye-opening experience.

Actors often ask themselves, “What is my motivation?” when they are studying a new character role. Well in your own life there are a million MOTIVATIONS that you have taken on that you do not even see that you have. They may have served you at some point in your past, but right now they may be hurting you instead of helping.

The BIG RULE here is to remember to BE KIND to YOUR SELF. Even those who interrogate people get a lot more information with kindness than torture. STOP TORTURING YOURSELF! Hell is here on this planet and how very MEAN we are to the little girl inside of us. We are sooooo afraid of disappointing others but we don’t spend much time realizing that we constantly ignore and mistreat our little girl. We then wonder why we keep gaining weight or feeling unhappy. It’s all about trapping energy. If you FEEL something, whether it’s a feeling or an intuition hit and you ignore it, you are simply storing ICKY energy. Over time this can get REALLY MESSY. I don’t even have to give you any examples because you can list a fairly large amount because you are living it.

Take a moment and start seeing yourself and the choices you are making. This week be MIND-FULL. Notice your habits. Notice when you use sugar or caffeine to help bring up your energy levels. Notice the people in your life who are your ENERGY VAMPIRES. Notice what you gravitate towards. Notice what you do when you are stressed about something or want to avoid something. Notice when you start thinking about your dream and you cut yourself off. BREATHE – DEEPLY. PLAY with this exercise this week. Big shifts are happening and they need to because many of us are so toxic that a truly fulfilling life is not possible until we get rid of our ICKIES.

Good Morning Beautiful ButterflyMoms!

Why did you come here today? Are you bored? Are you looking for inspiration? Are you looking to connect to something with meaning? Every week about 1,000 people, both women and men, come to ButterflyMoms but WHY? Out of all the things you could be doing WHY COME HERE? WHAT ARE YOU SEEKING?

Use your breath here. Really take a veeeeeeeeeeeery l-o-n-g  d-e-e-p breath. Close your eyes and do it again. HEAR YOUR BREATH. How does your body feel? Breathe again. Smile. How does it feel to be noticing what is happening in the PRESENT. If other thoughts come…gently shove them into the closet…just kidding…gently, without judging, release them out the door. If they come back one, two, twenty times, still GENTLY, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, release them.

In this state, take your pen and paper (no keyboards as they are not as effective because they are so linear and you want more freedom for this than that)…. So in this state take you pen and paper and draw, scribble, write, play on paper for as long as you can. Give yourself at least a good 14 minutes. See what PERCULATES! Your assignment is to do this EVERY DAY this week. If you have a specific life/business issue you are working on use this wonderful accessing gift to see what you cannot see when the noise of the other world is blocking your INTUITION, your inner wisdom!

Good Morning Beautiful ButterflyMoms!

This morning at 5:03 a.m. my seven-year-old daughter, Mialotta, came downstairs crying from a nightmare she had just had. She does not often have them and this one was a doozy. Initially the more I tried to get her to share what she had seen, the more she resisted. It kind of felt like when you are dealing with a tick, the more you pull to get it off, the more it DIGS IN. Hmmmm… So I had to unearth her ickies in a different way. ACTIVATE INTUITION!

First, I had to get her back to her thinking mode. I took many parenting classes with the wonderful child expert Ellen Kerstein who teaches Conscious Discipline workshops. Ellen taught us that when kids (or adults are having temper tantrums they are COMPLETELY in their brain stem. This is the part of the oldest part of brain (evolutionarily-speaking) where there is no speech. It is all about survival. It is your fight or flight mode. We know someone is in this space when you try to talk to them and they seem to not hear a word you are saying. This is where we as parents are most likely to lose our cool. Just so you know, there is absolutely NO WAY to communicate with a child that is in this place. Knowing this little fact helps us be able to RESOLVE, instead of thinking the child is being….(fill in the blank) a) bratty  b) spoiled  c) disrespectful  d) whatever feeling comes up for you.

The best way is to help your child get back to her pre-frontal lobes, the problem-solving part of the brain. This is done through touching and speaking in a soothing voice. Today I rubbed the bottoms of her feet (helps her ground too), held her in my lap and rubbed her back. I could physically see her relax. While I was doing this I was speaking to her. I asked her questions, most of which she initially asked me to repeat because she was so deep into her brain stem. It is all information. If you JUDGE IT you label it. Once you label something you no longer receive information. You ASS-U-ME. (Sound familiar?

All these activities move her into the part of her brain that allows her to CREATE CHOICE. CHOICE is what guides our lives. It is the choice of what we focus on that gives us more of “that”. As you go about your day check in with yourself and see what part of your brain are you in. Notice especially when you are in your brain stem and wondering why you cannot solve the issue at hand.

* On the 10^th anniversary of 9-11 we held our first ever ButterflyMoms Healing Share. We had about 30 people including kids…they are the ones who really get this stuff! REMEMBER TO KEEP BREATHING!

BOM DIA BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLYMOMS!

There is soooooooo much activity right now going on. The energy is shifting. Can you feel it? How about in the weather? In how you feel lately? In others around you? It is not in your head. Mercury has been in retrograde and it affects us, but beyond that, as a global community there is an event that shifted life just enough to send us in a different direction. I’m talking about the events of 9-11. This Sunday is the 10^th anniversary and I don’t know about you, but for most of these things I mean to do something to mark the occasion. Usually it comes out very bland or I don’t know what to do and just end up sad or bottling my feelings. This year it feels different.

It’s different for me because for years and years they have shown the building on fire but never really the people, well this year I saw the photos of the people, who were in such dire straights that climbing out of the window of 100 story building and eventually jumping seemed like a better idea than what was going on inside. It’s easy at this point to STOP BREATHING. It’s easy to get all choked up and turn away. I invite you to stay with these words and notice what you are feeling. What is coming up? Use your breath. STAY PRESENT. NOTICE YOUR MIND TRYING TO PULL YOU. Ground yourself to the earth and feel what you are feeling. Wiggle your “toesies”. Let it pass. Notice it passing. We have a tendency to want to HANG ON, play the movie again and again but let go of that tendency. NOTICE, BREATHE, FEEL, RELEASE, BREATHE, NOTICE… Give yourself these amazing gifts of FEELING what you FEEL and then RELEASING it. AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Do this as many times as you need. Stay with it. Breathe.

Last night at the 15^th ButterflyMoms workshop we did a healing-grounding meditation and sent LOVE to all those who were on the building, in the planes and at home waiting to get word, especially the children who lost their parents and the parents who lost their children. (BREATHE) I feel compelled to do something special this year so I have organized a HEALING SHARE which means that if you would like to come get a FREE HEALING (like Massage, Reiki, Full Spectrum Healing) there will be a number of volunteers there who are giving of their time in honor of shifting all the ICKY ENERGY of 9-11 and turning it into HEALING for our communities. Just bring something for the Holliston Food Pantry so that we can PAY IT FORWARD. So far we have people coming from four different States!  Pretty awesome!!!! Details are below. With all these feelings sometimes it helps look around for people who are AUTHENTIC. Why? Because authentic people having nothing to prove. They are just themselves, even if it goes against the grain. Being around them helps you get more in alignment with yourself. There is one woman I would love to introduce you to who has helped me grow in such amazing ways by SIMPLY WATCHING how she is in the world. Her name is Marianne Sage. She is delightful. When I first met her many years ago I did not know how to take her. She said she went mining for crystals in Arkansas and sang to them as she mined them. To be honest she seemed a “little flaky”, just like now I probably seem a “little flaky” to others too! Well over the years she just kept showing up in my life and I started to let my guard down. I’m soooooo thankful I did. Now that I do Reiki, crystals are a very important part of the process because it further MAGNIFIES THE ENERGY. You can do a more powerful healing if you are using them. Sage is an expert in them! She loves these crystals. She respects them. Last week she held one up and said to my children, “Do you know these are older than dinosaurs?” Their eyes got really big! (mine did too!) She said that crystals are between 300-500 million years old! UH HELLO! That is half a billion years and you are holding it in your hands!!!! Hearing her speak is incredibly humbling and powerful! It is the respect for Mother Earth that Sage carries in her soul! She exudes it! She carries her passion on her sleeve! It is amazing to witness…but you only get to see it if you have your walls down. Once or twice a year this grandmother mines these amazing crystals. She lives her passion by mining these incredible gifts while singing to them. (Sage has an amazing voice! She used to sing in England.) WOW! Not conventional but AUTHENTIC! In total alignment with her purpose! I’m sooo happy to let you know that if you want to meet Sage you can do so at our next ButterflyMoms workshop! Yay!

Now onto the ButterflyMoms blog…

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLYMOMS!

Our ButterflyMoms group yesterday was simply magnificent! There are few places on this planet where you can feel safe enough to ask those questions and share those parts of you where you feel stuck. The shifts that are happening are incredible and I’m honored to be a part of it. SHIFTS….hmmmm, have you noticed any lately? In the weather perhaps? In your life? In the world? In your kids? In your friends? Are you noticing the little and big SHIFTS that are going on?

For THOUSANDS of years human beings basically learned by REPEATING what their parents did and for thousands of years this worked. Those who strayed from the status quo had no protection from their tribe and did not usually fair so well.

About 200 years ago things started to SHIFT but were still grounded in the “old ways” of doing things. You did start seeing some rips on the fabric though.

As you start moving closer to 100 years ago the speed of SHIFT started to increase at a more rapid pace.

I was born in 1967 (I love that year!!!) and, in general, for everyday people there were no computers we used at home, no cell phones, no electronic games, nada. In 4^th grade a student’s “reward” for doing something extraordinary was to get a 15 minute pass to go to the library to play with a large domed calculator (there was a blue one and a yellow one)… and we all thought that it was sooooooo awesome! By 6^th grade we were exposed to a computer that took up a whole room and you had to program it to play games or do those long HAPPY BIRTHDAY BANNERS (which everyone thought was sooooooooo cool, at the time!)

My first computer looked like this...

By the time I got to my freshman year at Boston College in 1985 it was mandatory that everyone have their own computer. Today my 2^ndgrader pocket she carries technology in her DS that completely dwarfs the technology of my freshman year computer! And phones in general, we don’t even need to go there! No matter how young/old we are we have seen large differences even in our own lives in terms of technology.

Another area of SHIFT has been around the weather. For those of us on the east coast, ENTER IRENE. That is my mother’s mother’s name so I have a special love for it! This storm was spectacularly different from any storm I have ever heard about. It hit the WHOLE east coast and in a way that way quite odd. Even Vermont got affected. You hear about natural disasters in Florida, Louisiana, California….but VERMONT? Really? Come on now? Plus we lost power for 24 hours our neighbors (two houses away) did not have electricity for days, some people in our small town of 14,000 still don’t have power and will not until at least a few more days. (How they still manage to be on Facebook is kind of funny…where there is a will…) Some had trees hit their houses, some had flooded basements, some nothing happened at all. It was all a big, interesting NOTICING of how different this storm was and how it affected how we had to SHIFT our every day habits.

Another SHIFT is in the ROLES WE CHOOSE to live. Growing up we were fed a healthy diet of “your prince charming will come and save you”, now my kids (3 girls and a boy) are being brought on a diet of “Shrek 1, 2, 3 and 4” where Prince Charming is a bit of an arse and the guy who everyone avoided, was the real “prince”.

SHIFTS are emerging everywhere. Within our lives we have stages so we have ALWAYS seen SHIFTS but these are different. We as a species are shifting. The best-selling author and teacher Carolyn Myss says that we are in the process of evolving into a new species, from human beings into our next level of evolution. WOW! DEEP BREATH.

As things SHIFT some will try to hang on to what they know. Things (like diapers) and people (like some friends) are in our lives for a certain period of time and when that period is over things SHIFT. As “they” say SHIFT HAPPENS. You get to decide whether you are going to RESIST or FLOW with that SHIFT…DANCE OR FIGHT with that SHIFT….either is fine but the key is to be PRESENT enough to know that the decision is yours to make. MAKE IT WITH TOTAL PASSION!

*Just finished my Reiki III Master Certification last week in Rhode Island. Have already done some long distance healing to people who don’t necessarily believe or even know what it is but the results were wonderful, because Reiki is wonderful. One was in Lisbon, Portugal, the other two were in Hudson, MA. I feel very happy to have accomplished this! Next comes teacher training !

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLYMOMS!

WOW! When you are on your path, you start noticing and seeing how life shifts!

When you were very little, you played in the world. As you began to grow, the good opinions of others also grew.  You noticed that you would be rewarded for certain behaviors and punished for others. You began to follow a line of behavior that comes from the OUTSIDE of YOU, instead of INSIDE. This has worked for millions of years of human existence because it truly helped us simply survive….but now…Now we live in a different world where the OUTSIDE voices have run amok!

Yes, we start off listening to our inner voice then somewhere it switches to such a degree that we don’t even know if we still have one anymore. If you are alive, you have an inner voice, no matter how silent you think it has been. That precious voice is your INTUITION, the very first GPS in the universe. ITS PURPOSE is to guide you towards YOUR PURPOSE. So what happens when you ignore it? You know what happens. You start wandering aimlessly through the world trying this and doing that but not really ever “fitting” anywhere.

Imagine that you are at a party in the middle of nowhere with no ride. Assume this is a vvvvvvvery loud party with people talking, laughing, yelling, and loud music. Your phone rings. It is someone who wants to give you important directions. You can make out a few words but most of it is incomprehensible. Let’s say that the caller is giving you directions on how to get to your happiness, your life’s treasure, your purpose. What do you do then? Do you stay at this party and keep trying to piece what is being said? Do you turn off the music? Do you tell people to be quiet? Do you move to a place where you think you can hear better? When none of this works what do you do? Do you start to get angry and start blaming…the phone, the people, the party, the noise, your situation, the caller, your hearing?

TAKE A DEEP BREATH! If you are a fan of mysteries like James Bond (or Austin Powers) where you were wondering how he would get out of his predicament, let’s apply those powers of figuring it out here.

No matter what you believe, what label you give it, we all come from SOURCE ENERGY. SOURCE ENERGY is constant. It never takes a day off, never has a blip in the matrix. The more you can become aware of that SOURCE ENERGY the more you can HEAR/SEE/FEEL/KNOW what your next step is. BTW, SOURCE ENERGY is the one calling you at that loud party.

Now you might be wondering, “WHY WHY WHY would SOURCE ENERGY be calling me when I’m at a vvvvvvvvvvery loud party!? How inconsiderate!” The key here is that all that party noise is what you create in your life. That represents all the STUFF you keep adding to be able to live the life others have told you (directly and indirectly), you are supposed to live…. “good grades”, “good schools” “good job”, “good husband/wife”,  “nice house”, “2.5 kids”…and a dog. WE are all GUILTY of FILLING OUR LIVES with all the things(both activities and items) that are supposed to make us happy. We do it for a while, might even do it for a long while but it’s like wearing shoes that are a tad bit too big/small. It might look fine on the outside but on the inside it does not FEEL GOOD. Sure you can cut off your feelings and “suck it up” (as we say/insinuate to our kids and ourselves) and walk in those shoes anyways for a while. Some even do it their entire lives because after a while they are just numb all over. They kill their feelings because they want to hear the message. SIDENOTE: This is typically when DIS-EASE (diseases) start entering the body.

So HOW do you start listening to/ connecting with SOURCE ENERGY? Think of your day today. It is most likely filled with STUFF you “have” TO DO. REMINDER TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH HERE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ! FEELS GOOD!

If you choose to CARVE OUT time in your day for a moment, a minute, a string of moments to still your mind you will get to this place where you connect to SOURCE ENERGY. The word MEDITATION “scares”, or maybe it more “annoys” people because to the mind it is has the perception of being “boring”. I was (and on certain days still am) one of those people. I never grew up with it. Did not know what it was or HOW to do it. I now see how wonderful of a gift it can be. There are a million different ways to meditate. It is worth taking the time to explore which one works best for you. It can be as simple as getting on YOUTUBE and doing a guided mediation on there with someone who looks worth listening to, for you. Meditation is so important that we do meditations at the ButterflyMoms Workshops and will also be doing it at the Retreat in October. (I soooooo hope you join us.)

Most of the things on your TO DO LIST will drain you, putting:

will feed your soul.
